Technical Director
Tasos Makris
Tasos Makris brings more than two decades of experience in youth football, with a strong background in the coaching, evaluation and development of young players.
Throughout his career, he has worked with APOEL, as well as football academies and clubs in Cyprus. He has also gained valuable experience through the Arsenal Soccer Schools programme and a collaboration with Nottingham Forest.
As a holder of the UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth qualifications, he combines coaching expertise with experience in academy organisation, talent identification and the overall development of young footballers.
In his role as Technical Director of APOEL Academy – Paphos Branch, he is responsible for the overall coordination, organisation and development of the branch, with the aim of creating a structured and professional environment in which young players can develop both on and off the pitch.
Philosophy
His philosophy is centred on the structured and progressive development of every player, with emphasis on technical ability, football intelligence, discipline and personal growth.
He believes in creating a positive yet demanding environment where every young player has the opportunity to reach their potential while developing the values of teamwork, respect and consistency.
